'Swept Away', a new original musical inspired by the rock band The Avett Brothers, will premiere on Broadway this fall. The show, featuring music from the band's album Mignonette, about an 1884 shipwreck, had its initial performances at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in California and Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. The Broadway transfer was announced at a recent Avett Brothers concert in Queens.
