Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) army thwarted an attempted coup in the capital Kinshasa, arresting several suspects, including foreigners, following a shootout between armed men in military uniform and a top politician's guards, leaving three people dead. The attack targeted the home of Vital Kamerhe, a close ally to President Felix Tshisekedi. The DRC army spokesperson, Brigadier General Sylvain Ekenge, confirmed the situation is now under control.
