Nigeria launches Accelerated Senior Secondary Education Programme (ASSEP) in the Northeast to improve school infrastructure, modernize curricula, and integrate virtual learning. Aimed at bridging the educational divide, the program focuses on enhancing access to tertiary institutions, imparting market-relevant skills, and upskilling teachers. The North-East Development Commission (NEDC) plays a significant role in executing the initiative, which also promotes STEM education and fosters creativity and critical thinking.
