A high-speed chase involving a DUI suspect with multiple warrants, including assault and DUI, began in Olympia and continued through Pierce County, Lakewood, and Tacoma. Police backed off to de-escalate but tracked the car with a WSP airplane overhead. After crashing into a curb, the driver ran on foot and was found hiding in a pond by the Thurston County Sheriff, deputies, and Tacoma police.
