Last privately owned Svalbard land (Sore Fagerfjord) for sale for €300M; world's High Arctic; Norway retains control.

The last privately owned piece of land in the strategic Svalbard archipelago, located halfway between mainland Norway and the North Pole, is for sale for €300 million ($326 million). The property, Sore Fagerfjord, covers 60 sq km and is the last of its kind in the world's High Arctic. With increasing geopolitical and economic interest in the Arctic region, Norway does not plan to let the land go easily.
