Slack files EU antitrust complaint against Microsoft for alleged "illegal tying" of Teams to Office.
Slack has filed an antitrust complaint against Microsoft with the European Commission, alleging Microsoft's "illegal tying" of Teams to Office, force-installing it, and violating EU competition law. Microsoft currently has 75M daily active users of Teams compared to Slack's 12M. The EU will assess the complaint to determine if it warrants a formal investigation. Microsoft has not faced an EU antitrust investigation since 2008.
