Sioux Falls' Great Plains Zoo introduces Simba, a lion who has spent over a decade at Detroit Zoo. Simba is set to be the first lion at the new state-of-the-art lion exhibit. The Association of Zoos and Aquariums recommended Simba's transfer to support a healthy, genetically diverse, and demographically varied lion population in zoos. Simba, who fathered a cub named Binti, will move to the Great Plains Zoo in the near future.
