Zimbabwe has lost an estimated $9bn to corruption in the past five years, with an annual loss of $1.8bn, according to Prosecutor-General Justice Loyce-Matanda Moyo. Despite recovering $100m in assets, Zimbabwe is ranked 152nd out of 180 countries in terms of corruption levels by Transparency International. The country has a National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2020-2024 focusing on asset recovery.
