Zimbabwe's Anti-Corruption Commission (Zacc) is investigating misuse of devolution funds in rural district councils (RDCs), with numerous arrests made due to financial mismanagement and non-compliance with accounting standards. Over ZWL$2 billion in funds were disbursed since 2019, but a significant portion appears to have been diverted for personal gain, affecting service delivery. Zacc is working to improve transparency and accountability to address the issue.
