Ant Group, an affiliate of Alibaba, is expanding its Alipay+ offering into Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, seeking to connect mobile payment apps globally. Senior VP Douglas Feagin stated that people prefer using their home e-wallets when traveling abroad. Alipay+ allows foreigners to use their home country apps for payments in China and other countries by scanning QR codes on Alipay.
