J&K Police registered an FIR against a "scandalous communication" circulating on WhatsApp against women holding public office, following complaints from senior female officials. The communication allegedly contains baseless, scandalous, and derogatory allegations, purportedly authored by "Manish Sharma" of Pir Panjal Times. The Crime Branch of J&K Police has initiated investigation under sections 467, 471, 500, 509 of IPC and 66C IT Act.
