NPS approves RFK Stadium demolition in DC, permitting land redevelopment.
The National Park Service (NPS) has approved the demolition of Washington DC's RFK Stadium, stating that it will have no significant impact on the environment. The stadium has been vacant since 2019 and is in serious need of repair. The NPS will now issue a permit for the District to begin demolition. The land, owned by DC and managed by Events DC, has been considered for a new Washington Commanders stadium.
