Malaysia's Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister warns of up to RM250K fines for retailers, distributors, and importers with products that discriminate against palm oil. The Trade Descriptions (Prohibition of Use of Statement, Expression or Indication) (Oil Palm Product and Palm Oil Goods) Regulations 2022 will be enforced, with increased enforcement activities to check for such products. A recent raid was conducted on a Putrajaya convenience store for allegedly selling food products with 'No Palm Oil' labels.
