25-year-old Majid Alibadi, accused of being involved in a "tobacco war" between Middle Eastern crime gangs in Melbourne, has had his lavish lifestyle exposed in court as he fights for bail. Alibadi is facing over 20 charges related to alleged firebombings and car thefts between September 2023 and March. Police allege that he was an "agent" for Kazem "Kaz" Hamad, who was running organised crime operations from the Middle East. The conflict was over the importation and distribution of illegal tobacco.
