25-year-old alleged arson ring leader, Majid Alibadi, has been granted bail to a $60,000 rehabilitation facility in Melbourne. Facing over 20 charges related to firebombings and car thefts, Alibadi was released on condition of wearing an electronic monitoring device and receiving treatment for addiction to methamphetamine, cannabis, and alcohol. The rehabilitation center will enforce 24-hour supervision, and Alibadi is prohibited from contacting Kazem Hamad or other prosecution witnesses. His next court appearance is scheduled for July.
