2 Forest Lake high school track athletes hit by car on Highway 61, airlifted to hospital.
2 Forest Lake high school track athletes were airlifted to the hospital after being hit by a car on Highway 61 at 202nd Street in Forest Lake, MN on Tuesday afternoon. The State Patrol responded to the incident, which occurred at around 3:30 pm. The two 15-year-old boys were part of a group of runners crossing the highway in a crosswalk when they were struck by a southbound car driven by an 84-year-old man from Lindstrom. The boys' current conditions have not been disclosed, and their names will be released by the State Patrol at a later date.
