Former Circuit Court Judge Gerard O'Brien, 59, has been convicted of sexual abuse of six young men between 1991 and 1997, while he was a teacher at a Dublin secondary school. O'Brien, who resigned in January, faces a custodial sentence following his conviction, with sentencing set for May 29. The victims, four of whom were students or former students, have expressed their wish for O'Brien to be named but to remain anonymous themselves.
