Hubble Space Telescope captured a colorized image of a barred spiral galaxy, NGC 2217, 65 million light-years away in Canis Major constellation.

NASA/ESA's Hubble Space Telescope captured a stunning image of NGC 2217, a barred spiral galaxy similar in size to the Milky Way, 65 million light-years away in the Canis Major constellation. The central bar plays a key role in the galaxy's evolution, channeling gas from the disk to form new stars or feed the supermassive black hole at its core. The image was colorized using data from Pan-STARRS.
