45-year-old Kelly Allen from Swansea endured a horrific ordeal after a dachshund, commonly known as a "sausage dog", attacked her. The small dog bit off a portion of Allen's cheek and proceeded to eat it in her presence. The victim required a prolonged and extensive surgical procedure that lasted 5.5 hours, with over 40 stitches needed to close her facial wound. Following the incident, the offending dog was seized by the police and subsequently euthanized.
