Former Weymouth police officer, Justin Chappell, has pleaded guilty to assaulting a man in his custody in 2020 by punching him 13 times without legal justification. Chappell faces up to 10 years in prison, up to 3 years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000 for the charge of deprivation of rights under color of law. The incident was captured on video during an arrest on July 2, 2022.
