NYPD officers in Queens, New York shot and killed a 65-year-old man wielding a knife during an argument with a woman on a street corner. Officers attempted to subdue the suspect with a Taser, but it failed. The man was transported to Elmhurst Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The incident took place amidst an 18% increase in major crimes in the 115th precinct compared to the same period last year.
