36-year-old Earnest Williams was found with a gunshot wound to the head outside a home in Tyler County, and was rushed to a Houston hospital in critical condition. Deputies arrested 33-year-old Cody Knight as the suspect, charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The arrest was made after a search warrant was executed at Knight's home, and a .22 caliber rifle was collected as evidence.
