Los Angeles police officer Alan Carrillo has been charged with tampering with evidence and stealing items during traffic and pedestrian stops in 2023. The officer, part of the Mission Area Gang Enforcement Detail, allegedly seized contraband from detained individuals, concealed or destroyed the evidence, and stole personal items. He faces up to seven years and six months in state prison if convicted.
