20% of US fruits and vegetables analyzed by Consumer Reports contain significant levels of pesticides, according to a recent report. The study examined 59 common fruits and vegetables and found pesticide risks in items such as bell peppers, blueberries, green beans, potatoes, and strawberries. Imported produce, particularly some from Mexico, was found to have higher levels of pesticide residues.
