44-year-old Michael Hallford Jr., a fisherman from Lenoir, was found deceased in Wilson Creek, downstream from his car discovered at Brown Mountain Beach Road. He went missing during a fishing trip and was reported on April 12. No foul play signs were found, and the Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy. Caldwell County Sheriff Alan Jones praised the cooperative search efforts of multiple agencies.
