54-year-old American woman, Marianne Smyth, accused by scam victims of posing as an Irish heiress, faces an extradition hearing in a Maine federal court. If convicted, Smyth could be sent to the United Kingdom, where she allegedly stole over $170,000 from at least five victims between 2008 and 2010. Smyth has been held in Piscataquis County Jail in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, since her arrest in February.
