The Coroner in Lagos has attributed the death of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni, a student at Dowen College, to his parents' and doctor's negligence. The coroner, Magistrate Mikhail Kadiri, held that Oromoni died as a result of failed treatment for his enlarged liver. Oromoni's death initially led to accusations of bullying and the alleged forced consumption of a poisonous substance at the school, but the coroner has cleared Dowen College and its students of any wrongdoings.
