DWP suspends payments on May 6 & 27 due to bank holidays, offering early payments on May 3 & 24; Universal Credit recipients advised to inform DWP if traveling abroad.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will not make payments on May 6 and May 27 due to bank holidays. Benefit recipients may receive early payments on these days (May 3 and May 24 respectively), but the money will need to last longer as normal payment dates resume after the bank holidays. Those on Universal Credit are advised to inform the DWP if they plan to travel abroad this year.
