41-year-old restaurateur Eiad Eltawil in San Francisco starts a 30-day hunger strike against a new bike lane on Valencia Street. The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (MTA) removed 71 parking spots for the bike lane, leading to a decline in local business, with about a dozen businesses closing. The new bike lane has also reportedly increased cycling accidents.
