A Houston mother has been arrested after allegedly leaving her two young children, aged 8 and 6, home alone for several days while she went on a cruise. Lakesha Woods Williams, 29, has been charged with abandoning a child with intent to return, a felony. Neighbors reportedly saw Williams leave her high-rise apartment building with luggage on April 4 but never saw her return. Deputies conducted a welfare check on her apartment on April 9 and found the children alone in a disarrayed apartment with a strong smell of urine.
