The Guardian named two Scottish walking routes among the most stunning ancient pathways in the UK: St Ninian's Cave Pilgrimage (Dumfries and Galloway) and Iona of the East (Fife). These routes allow walkers and hikers to soak up myths and legends. The St Ninian's Cave Pilgrimage begins at St Ninian's Chapel and is near the Isle of Whithorn village, where ruins of a fourth-century chapel attributed to Saint Ninian are located.
