62-year-old conjoined twins Lori and George Schappell, who defied medical predictions, passed away.
Lori and George Schappell, the world's oldest conjoined twins, have passed away at the age of 62. Born with partially-fused skulls and sharing 30% of their brains, the siblings defied medical predictions that they wouldn't live past 30. George, who had spina bifida, pursued a career as a country singer, while Lori won trophies for ten-pin bowling. George also came out as transgender in 2007.
