Officials in Afghanistan's Islamic Emirate rejected a UN report claiming the Taliban eliminates its political opponents during Eid speeches. Acting Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs Noor Mohammad Saqib called the UN report "propaganda" and stated that the general amnesty decree is being implemented in the country. Prime Minister Mohammad Hassan Akhund urged Afghans living abroad to return home and take advantage of available opportunities.
