A new survey by SME Climate Hub reveals that climate change has increased in priority for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in 2023, but they face challenges in taking climate action due to financial and policy barriers. Despite the growth in importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions for 44% of SMEs surveyed, only 3% said it is now a lower priority. The survey highlights the need for greater support from enabling policies and funding to help SMEs tackle climate change.
