China's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) saw improved business performance in the last quarter of 2024, with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Index rising to 89.0, up 0.1 points from the third quarter. Based on a survey of 3,000 SMEs across eight industries, the report highlights improvements in industrial production, construction, and transportation, alongside stable macroeconomic confidence. The association calls for strategies to boost consumption and create more opportunities for SMEs.
