23-year-old footballer Cody Fisher was stabbed to death in a Birmingham nightclub on Boxing Day after a minor altercation two nights earlier. Remy Gordon and Kami Carpenter were found guilty of murder and jailed for life with minimum terms of 26 and 25 years, respectively. The attack was described as "awful revenge" against the former Birmingham City academy member.
