Jahzeen Carpenter, 39, and Nadine Taylor, 44, were charged with assisting an offender after allegedly helping Kami Carpenter—Jahzeen's son and one of the convicted killers of 23-year-old Cody Fisher—avoid arrest following the murder at a Birmingham nightclub on Boxing Day 2022. Both women appeared in court and were released on bail, with a hearing set for October 8. Kami and another defendant were sentenced to life in prison for the murder.
