US DoE references "Twilight" for solar eclipse safety reminder in 2024.
The US Department of Energy (DoE) playfully referenced the "Twilight" series to remind fans of the upcoming solar eclipse on April 7, 2024. The DoE posted on Facebook, "Hold on tight, spider monkey!" - a line from the series - and advised viewers not to stare at the sun without certified eclipse glasses. They humorously added not to fall in love with a vampire and a werewolf and not to nickname someone's daughter after the Loch Ness Monster.
