2023: Moses Obeid, son of former NSW Labor minister Eddie Obeid, pleads guilty to lying to ICAC about a discounted car, currently serving a separate three-year sentence for corruption.

Moses Obeid, son of former NSW Labor minister Eddie Obeid, may serve his sentence for lying to the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) while under home monitoring. Obeid pleaded guilty in 2023 to providing false evidence to ICAC about a discounted car provided to a former government minister. He is currently serving a three-year sentence for a separate corruption scheme with his father and former resources minister Ian Macdonald.
