25-year-old David Patterson Jr. was killed in a suspected drunk driving crash in Caldwell County, NC on April 7th. His vehicle, a 2006 Ford F-250, crossed the centerline, drove off the road, hit a tree, and overturned in a creek. The investigation revealed impairment as a factor in the crash and Patterson was not wearing a seatbelt. Calico Road was closed for two hours during the investigation.
