Carthage School District has its first Hispanic school board member, a real estate agent with experience in higher education and student financial services. Born in Mexico, she has lived in Carthage since 2005 and aims to represent and be a voice for the Hispanic community, as 40% of students in the district are Hispanic. She plans to use her experience while also focusing on cultural representation.
