5 zebras seized from a rural property during an investigation under Saskatchewan's Captive Wildlife Regulations arrived at Saskatoon's Forestry Farm Park & Zoo in 2023. Initially being fostered there, the zoo has officially taken ownership of the zebras after legal proceedings concluded. The Government of Saskatchewan paid $100,000 for winter shelter and care, and the zebras are now set to make Saskatoon their forever home.
