Saint Louis Zoo welcomed a new female Grevy's zebra foal, Roxie, on April 16, marking the first animal birth at the under-development WildCare Park. Roxie and her mother Gemma, a first-time mom, are part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' Species Survival Plan for endangered Grevy's zebras. WildCare Park, set to open in 2027, aims to house 250 animals, including giraffes, white rhinos, and kangaroos.
