89-year-old French actor and singer Jean-Paul Vignon, known for his roles in Shrek and 500 Days of Summer, has passed away following a battle with liver cancer. Vignon began his career in Parisian cabaret in the 1950s before moving to New York, where he opened for stand-up comic Woody Allen. His career spanned six decades, and he also appeared in TV series Gilmore Girls and the film Asphalte.
