Toronto home sales decreased 4.5% YoY in March, while average home price increased 1.3% to $1,121,615, according to TRREB.
Toronto home sales declined 4.5% year-over-year in March, but the average home price increased 1.3% to $1,121,615, according to the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB). The decline in sales was partly due to Good Friday falling earlier this year, while new listings rose 15% year-over-year. TRREB President Jennifer Pearce predicts that if borrowing costs decrease later this year, sales will rise, and new listings will be absorbed, leading to tighter market conditions and higher selling prices.
