36-year-old Taiping businessman loses RM418,200 to phone scam impersonating a police officer. Perak police chief reports victim received a call from the suspect who claimed to be "Insp Hazizi" and accused the victim of a crime. The suspect informed the victim he had checked with Bank Negara Malaysia and found the victim had a fixed deposit account, instructing him to convert it into a normal account.
