A New York woman, Latasha Mott, 29, has been charged with the fatal beating of her 5-year-old daughter, Nefertiti Harris, and hiding her body, which has not been found yet. Mott allegedly hit her daughter with a belt multiple times while she was in the shower on January 6, resulting in her death. The search for the child's body is ongoing in fields and woods near Syracuse. Mott was arraigned on charges of manslaughter and disposal of a corpse.
