55-year-old South Island cyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in a collision with a car at the intersection of Island Highway and Burnside Road West in View Royal. Responding West Shore RCMP found the cyclist had been hit by a sedan, with the driver, aged 21, remaining on scene and cooperating with investigators. The eastbound lanes of Burnside Road West were closed for several hours as a collision analyst examined the scene.
