The Supreme Court has declined to hear Nicholas Sandmann's defamation appeal, allowing a lower court's dismissal of his $1.25 billion libel lawsuit against The New York Times, ABC News, CBS News, and Gannett. Sandmann, a former Kentucky high school student, sued the media outlets for their coverage of his standoff with a Native American protester in Washington, D.C. in 2019.
