India's state-run natural gas company, GAIL (India) Ltd, plans to commission the country's first green hydrogen project in April at its Vijaipur complex in Madhya Pradesh. The 10-megawatt proton exchange membrane electrolyzer, imported from Canada, is expected to produce approximately 4.3 metric tons of hydrogen daily with a 99.999% purity level using renewable energy sources. This project aligns with India's goal of reaching 5 million tons of annual green hydrogen production capacity by 2030.
